Greenery drive of “SukhDukhKeSathi” in Dwarka

“SukhDukhKeSathi” started its annual tree plantation programme with celebration of ‘World Environment Day’ with gusto. The plantation programme is carried out by the Sanstha regularly at least once a week with great enthusiasm, preferably on Saturday. In this sequence, members of the Sanstha planted one hundred and two saplings of ‘panda’ tree on 13th July 2013 in the DDA park behind Sadbhawna Apartments in Sector-22, Dwarka. On this occasion, Shri Vijay Shanker Singh, President, Shri SK Kapoor, General Secretary, Shri PremBihari Mishra, Jt. Secretary, Capt S.S. Mann, Co-ordinator and other members of the association said in one voice that this park has been ruined during past one year since it was adopted by a nearby school for maintenance. The adoption has now been cancelled because of certain irregularities and ‘SukhDukhKeSathi’ Sanstha is now determined to bring back glory of this park. Shri PremBihari Mishra and Capt S.S. Mann said that they are hopeful that residents in other sectors of Dwarka will get inspired with endeavour of the senior citizens and will come forward to plant maximum trees in their sectors. Capt Mann said that services of the Sanstha will be available to them for this noble cause.

They also informed Dwarka Parichay  that on 20th July (Saturday) there will be a special programme of tree plantation at 9.00 a.m. in cremation ground behind Kargil Apartment, Sector-19 Dwarka, in association with Dwarka Forum and maximum number of Dwarkaites should participate in it. The President Shri Vijay Shankar Singh and General Secretary Shri S.K. Kapoor said that they are grateful to the officers and staff of DDA Horticulture Department for their co-operation without which this drive was not possible. The programme concluded in a pleasant atmosphere after serving snacks to the Horticulture staff and all others present there.
