Dwarka Chitragupt Samaj celebrated its 10th Shri Chitragupt Puja Mahostsav and Chitrans ke Award ceremony at Ambience Banquet in sector-19. More than 150 membes of Kayastha community gathered and paid reverence to Bhagwan Sri Chitragupt.
The evening started with colorful cultural performance by the chitrans children. Akshita & Harshita enacted a skit depicting the evils of corruption, inflation and mismanagement spread in the society as well as government. Their satire was applauded by the audience. The dance performance, mimicry, recital of songs and poems showed the artistic caliber of these children.
The chief guest on the occasion Sh. Subodh Kant Sahai, Union Minister for Tourism highlighted the dominance of Kayastha community in beau racy, public & private sectors. He proudly announced that the Chitrans get the accolade because of their sincerity, dedication and honesty. Although he felt sorry at the state of Chitrans in the political scenario in Delhi. He advised the people to come forward and get into social and political work. He insisted that the society can grow only through these activities. On this occasion, he also felicitated few luminaries with Chitrans Ke Gaurav award. He reiterated that nothing succeeds like success and asked the gathering to follow the path of successful chitrans personality.
Shri Yogender Prasad, former CMD of NHPC was awarded for excellence in public sector, Shri Amrendra Saran, Addl. Solicitor General for excellence in legal service, Sh. Sanjeev Srivastava, CMD of Assotech Ltd for excellence in business, Sh. R. K. Sinha, CMD of SIS Ltd for generating employment for more than 45,000 people and Sh. Suresh Srivastava, President Chitrans Foundation for social work. Mukesh Sinha, the president of Dwarka Chitragupt Samaj in his address said “ These luminaries have made us proud by their achievement and the coming generation should follow them and achieve mile stone in their lives”. He informed that the chitragupt puja celebration in Dwarka is the biggest celebration in NCR and now it is not limited to the subcity only but people from Faridabad, Noida, Gurgaon have also started participating.
Mrs. Sudha Sinha anchored the programe with her wit and humor. The renowned KARMA BAND kept the audience spell bound with their performance. A colorful souvenir was also released by the chief guest along with Col. Anand Ji, Rajiv Ranjan, Rajnish Mohan, Pranav Kumar, R A Sinha, Prakash Kumar.
