Class V Annual Cultural Day @SVIS- “Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj”


The bravery, chivalry and heroism of the legendary ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’ was staged line by the students of Class V of Sri Venkateshwar International School, Sector-18, Dwarka, on Thursday, October 11, 2018 as part of their Annual Cultural Day.
The Chief Guest of the day was Mr Prem Chand Palety, who is well known as a quality assessor for universities, colleges, schools and companies. The school Chairman Mr Sailander Solanki graced the occasion with his presence.

The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the guests followed by welcome address by the School Head Learner Ms Nita Arora. She shared her views on how these events give opportunities to the students to develop confidence, creativity andteam spirit. She also praised the parents’ efforts in the growth and development of their wards.

The entire show was a beautiful amalgamation of heart touching scenes, music and dance sequences. Students enthralled audience with vibrant display of costumes and props. The story came alive and took the audience to the Maratha Kingdom of 17thcentury. The skit instilled the values like integrity, determination, empathy, respect and above all the feeling of patriotism.

Parents were visibly impressed by the impeccable performance showcased by the students. The Guest of Honour appreciated the stupendous efforts put up by the students and expressed his gratitude towards the Head Learner Ms Nita Arora. He also said that it was one of the best cultural shows he had seen so far. The students of Class V extended the vote of thanks on behalf of Primary Wing Headmistress, Ms Shama Kapoor.
