A condolence meeting in the Vinayak CGHS Ltd. in Sect-10, Dwarka, New Delhi was held on 29th Decemebr,2012 at 4,30 in the evening to pay tribute and homage to the “Brave and Courageous Girl” who was named as “DAMINI” or “NIRBHAYA”. Mr P.K.Bhardwaj , IPS said that it is really a very shocking for all of us . He expressed his views that the battle has now begun against the shameful social attitudes that allows men to misbehave women. Dr. B.K.Chaudhry expressed his view that her untimely demise has given a shock to the entire world. He further said that everyone must fight for a just & equal society where women has all the rights and ensure that we must built pressure on Government and Administration so that strong laws are framed and police perform its duties properly. Mrs. Gaganjit Kaur said that as a woman and as a mother I know how this is painful to know. She expressed that women must make themselves strong to face and fight. Members of the Society paid their homage to the departed soul and prayed to Almighty to rest her soul in peace. They also prayed to God to grant courage to her family to bear this shock. In the end a two minutes silence was kept.
