Dignified Retirement Ceremony Held in Honour of Delhi Police Inspector Kishori Lal Sharma

New Delhi, March 29, 2026.
A heartfelt and dignified retirement ceremony was organized in honour of Delhi Police Inspector Shri Kishori Lal Sharma at the Conference Hall of Himachal Bhawan, Mandi House. The event was coordinated by Supreme Court Group 8 and Staff, Supreme Court Secretariat.

The ceremony commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp and a devotional invocation, adding a spiritual grace to the occasion. In the welcome address, speakers praised Inspector Sharma’s long and unblemished service, administrative efficiency, leadership qualities and humble personality, describing him as a strong pillar of the Delhi Police.

Chief Guest Anil Samota and Guest of Honour, former Labour Commissioner K. R. Verma, stated in their addresses that Kishori Lal Sharma discharged his duties with dedication, discipline and transparency, enhancing the dignity of the department and serving as a source of inspiration for his colleagues.

On the occasion, he was honoured with a bouquet, a shawl and a memento including a portrait of Lord Hanuman. Members and colleagues also expressed their best wishes for his healthy, happy and active life ahead.

The cultural segment added warmth and emotional depth to the event. Prominent social worker and author Damnesh Ji presented a Punjabi song; Dr. Shaili mesmerized the audience with a Himachali folk song; Himachal Kokila Richa Sharma rendered a Hindi film song; Prof. S. S. Dogra recited a poem and presented a popular Bollywood song. The presence of Suraj Prakash Manchanda, General Secretary of the Elderly People Forum, further enriched the ceremony.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Rajvardhan and Surendra Kumar, followed by a fellowship dinner.
