Diwali quotes from Sony Entertainment Television actors

Prembabu Sharma

Ssharad Malhotra aka Maharana Pratap in Bharat Ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap – Diwali like every year is celebrated with a lot of pomp and joy. It is one of my favourite festival where I can happily indulge in doing all the rituals, from the cleaning of the house to pampering my taste buds especially binging into varieties of Indian sweets, bursting of crackers( preferably the less noisy one’s) decorating my pad with colorful lights, rangoli, card parties – in short a blockbuster night. This year I was intending to go to kolkata and celebrate with family in a huge way but due to time constraints and work pressure I will be in the city celebrating the festival with some of my close friends.
Ishant Bhanushali aka Bal Hanuman in Sankat Mochan Mahabali Hanuman – Diwali is my favourite festival as I get to eat lot of sweet dishes. I have a sweet tooth and my mother makes delicious sweet dishes at home which one cannot resist. All my relatives come home and we have a gala time. This year too I look forward to celebrating Diwali, what adds on is that this year I will also celebrate this festival on the sets with our entire crew of Sankat Mochan Mahabali Hanuman.

Mona Singh aka Preet in Pyar Ko Ho Jaane Do – I love lights and hence I love Diwali. As a child Diwali was all about good food. What I loved the most was fried food and mithais, homemade sweets were my favorite. Even now I cannot resist Mithais. When you are part of a Punjabi Family, celebrations are incomplete without good food. So nothing much has changed! This year I am planning to do Pooja at my home and I will invite all my friends and family for the same.

Gautam Rode aka Karn in Suryaputra Karn – Diwali is my most favourite festival. It’s a time when all friends and family come together to celebrate. Every Diwali I make it a point to spend it with my near and dear ones and this time too I will be spending time with them. I would like to wish all my fans a very Happy Diwali.

Sangeeta Ghosh aka Surinder in Parvarrish Season 2 – Diwali is one of my favourite festival and I eagerly wait for it every year as along with lights and it also brings in a reunion of families and friends. I love the tradition of rangoli and I love decorating my house with the lanterns and Diyas but I don’t support burning fire crackers. I love dressing up and every year this time I get an opportunity to dress up in the Rajasthani attire and celebrate it with my family and friends where we feast on Diwali delicacies and sweets. I wish all my fans a very happy and safe Diwali.

Gautami Kapoor aka Sneha in Parvarrish Season 2 – Diwali celebration is very special for our entire family especially for me as my mother along with my grandmother used to make lovely sweets. I have learnt to make Besan Ladoos from my mother. Our food menu would be decided a day prior to Diwali and every day there would be a new dish. This year we are going to make food without onions and lot of other dishes. We are not going to burst crackers as it pollutes the environment
Anup Soni, host, Crime Patrol – Diwali is one of my favourite festival. As a kid, I have been really fond of sweets and eagerly used to wait for Diwali as it gave me a chance to happily indulge with sweets. As a ritual, my mother used to make besan ke laddu every Diwali and she still makes them and they taste absolutely lovely. I don’t believe in bursting crackers as it results in a lot of pollution and the same goes for this year as well. However, I will light 1 or 2phuljadi with my 3 year old son. I wish everyone a Happy and a safe Diwali.

Dayanand Shetty aka Daya in CID – Diwali is a festival of light and like every year it brings with it a lot celebration. I really love the festival and I eagerly wait for it as I love the brightness that it brings along in our house and our lives. Every Diwali I celebrate it with my family and friends around where we feast on various delicacies and sweets. Wishing all the viewers and fans a very Happy Deepavali.
