First International Conference and Human Library (ICHL)- 2018

First International Conference and Human Library (ICHL-2018) was organized at Taj Vivanta, Dwarka New Delhion June 30, 2018. This was organized by Dr. Gagandeep Kaur Gulati, the founder of Weaving Dreams. Dr. Gagandeep Kaur is an educationist and a Ph.D. in Commerce and Management. Presently she is a Professor at Institute of Information Technology and Management at New Delhi.

The theme of the conference held on June 30, 2018, was: Role of Youth in Transforming a Nation. The Chief Guest for the conference was- Honourable Member of Parliament and a senior Supreme Court Lawyer, Shri KTS Tulsi ji. Mr Tulsi also interacted with the delegates and motivated them to work for the betterment of the society.

Honourable Guest of Honour was Shri JC Sharma, the Chairman of IITM Group of Institutions. He shared his words of wisdom with the delegates. The guest of honour were Ms Gurnam Kaur Grweal, Principal of Guru Nanak Public School, Chandigarh; Ms Seema Sharma, Member of Governing Council of IITM, Ms Shilpa Gandhi Mohile (A leading female actor and Crime Patrol fame), Ms Ira Singhal, an IAS Officer, Ms Shobha Tuli, a social activist.
The event also witnessed the release of the Magazine: ICHL 2018 that shares the profiles of the selected delegates of the conference.

The delegates of the conference were from different fields and profiles like: Anuradha Govind, Dr Sanjivni Khanna, Minakshi Bansal, Deepika Chawla. Rima Kohli, Neetu Singhal, Shivani Singh, Rachna Thukral, Shivani Mehn, Nonah Khanna, Priyanka Paur, Disha Sandhu and many more. The delegates also got Weaving Dreams Excellence Awards based on their performance. The jury included Rita Gangwani and Rupal Dalal. Ms Srishti Kaur, the teen Universe was also felicitated on the occasion.

Mr Billy Gupta and his team from Delhi Langar Sewa Society were also honoured. Radio partners of the event were Radio Sursangam, Calgary, Canada. Online Marketing partners were Dwarka Parichay. Magazine partners were TRVC.

In the end Dr. Gagandeep Gulati, thanked the delegates, awardees for helping this event become a success. She insists on the source of inspiration being her mother and brother. She also thanked her husband Arvind Gulati and children to have supported her throughout.

Dr. Gagandeep shared that she wants to make the conference a regular event so that many more personalities from diverse fields get a platform to share their inspirational stories with other.
