The team of doctors from Aakash Health Care Center also organized a workshop on basic life support for students of class VII and VIII. The aim was to make students aware of importance of life support in saving a person’s life in case of cardiac arrest. Students learned about what basic life support is, the crucial role it plays in saving a person’s life and how to extend this support to someone who needs it. It was quite informative and students showed eagerness to learn as much as they could.
Prevention is better than cure. A dental check-up of class IV and V was also held wherein teeth of the students were checked for decay, faulty filling, cracks and rear gums were checked to ensure that they are healthy. Bleeding gums are sign of gum disease.
The students of class X were also acquainted with the role of an audiologist. The expert conducted speech and hearing test and students were given consultation about the same.
