Sri Venkateshwar International School, Sector 18, Dwarka observed the Kargil Vijay Diwas on 26 July 2018. The students of class IX played homage to the brave martyrs of this war through guard of honour by the Student Council members, the rendition of a patriotic song and heartfelt expressions by the students.
The school principal, Ms. Nita Arora urged the students to always remember that the soldiers do not join armed forces because of name or fame associated with them, but for the spirit of patriotism that fills their heart. She also inspired the students to dedicate themselves to their nation by being true to their calling. It was an emotional moment for all present when the assembly area echoed with the resounding “Jai Hind “.
