Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia launched an online portal for journalists on behalf of Directorate of Information and Publicity. On the occasion of Launching the portal at the Delhi secretariat-situated media centre, Mr Sisodia said launch of online service for reporters is a good step and using it they would be able to save crucial time. Through this service, media professionals can file applications for renewal of their press cards. Besides this, they can also avail forms for Delhi Transport Corporation bus pass, rail compensation coupon, parking label and health service related ”health cards”.Prior to starting of programme, a two-minute silence was observed in the memory of veteran journalist and head of Delhi Press Accreditation committee Aditya Awasthi who passed away suddenly on May 24 in the national capital. Directorate of Information and Publicity Director Sajjan Singh Yadav termed the launch of online portal a genuinely ”good step” and praised the commendable work done by the team of directorate’s special director Sandeep Mishra, Deputy Director Mahesh Chand Maurya, IT Information Department’s senior system analyst Santulan Chaube, co-information officer Urmila Beniwal and other officials in this direction.The head of the Accreditation Committee of Delhi government Anirudh Sharma informed that journalists can avail the services irrespective of their location thus saving crucial time of reporting.
