Myshopbazzar.com, one of India’s leading online shopping portals organized the Grand Finale of its annual mega beauty pageant “Myshopbazzar.com Ms. India and Mr. India 2014” at a jam packed Arya Auditorium in East of Kailash, Delhi.

The event had attracted young contestants from both male and female categories in the age group of 18-28 from all across India. More than 7000 contestants had applied for the screening stages of the contest. 10 contestants in each category were selected for the Grand Finale. Chief Guest of the event was Ms. Barkha Shukla Singh, Chairperson, Delhi Women Commission and social activist.
Like last year, this year’s theme of the contest too was ‘Save The Girl Child’ cause which is a part of Myshopbazzar.com’s CSR activities. Other Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities of the online retail major include ‘Save Electricity’, ‘Save Water’ and ‘Go Green’. Recently the company had also announced its participation in the Clean India Campaign.
Speaking about the event, Manoranjan Mohanty, CMD of Myshopbazzar.com said “The cause of ‘Save The Girl Child’ is not just a slogan for us. It is a commitment by us for the betterment of society. No society on this planet can prosper if it does not respect its women and saving the girl child from female foeticide is the first step in ensuring equality, respect and dignity for our women.” Mr. Mohanty further said that this year they have also adopted the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s ‘Swach Bharat Abhiyan’ as one of their CSR activities and have started working towards spreading awareness about the importance of Clean India.

Present at the occasion were renowned personalities like Bollywood stars Vidya Malvade, Shweta Khanna and other renowned personalities like Miss India Italy 2014-Revan Satinder, Miss Heritage Lebanon 2014-Mirna Olleik, Miss Arab World- Nadine Fahed, Shweta Sachani- CEO of Make-up India, John Uche Jesus- Fashion Designer, Sam Williams-Fashion Choreographer, Fashion Designer Manish Chhabra, Fashion Designer Christina, Fashion Designer Nisha Agarwal, Fashion Designer Praneeth Ponugumati, Stand-up Comedian Siraj Khan, Life Coach & Motivational Speaker Anamika Yaduvanshi and Rajesh Sahay- Chairman of Hierank Business School among others.
The event was a mixture of entertainment and social messages and included dance performances, stand-up comedy acts, fashion show and display of talents by the contestants.
