Nrityabharati troupe performd Bharatanatyam at Tirupati

Senior disciples of Nrityabharati, the classical dance wing of Society for Upliftment of National Arts of India (S.U.N.A.INA) along with their Founder-President Guru Smt. Kanaka Sudhakar presented a scintillating ninety minute recital at the holy precincts of Lord Venkateswara temple in Tirupati on 15 March 2015 during the Nadha Neerajanam Festival. It was a dream come true for the Guru as well as her disciples as this was their first ever performance in the holy premises. The entire programme was telecast live by Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel (SVBC).

The group presented a total of five dances, all devoted to the Lord. Commencing with the traditional Naatyanjali dedicated to Lord Ganesha, Saraswati, Vishnu, Shiva and the Guru, the performance continued with Ashtalakshmi depicting the eight forms of the Goddess of Prosperity. This was followed by Shri Tyagaraja Krithi, ‘Jagadaanandaaraka’ portraying the entire famous epic, the Ramayan. The next item was Dashavataar, to the song ‘Devaki Nandana, Nandakumara’, illustrating the ten forms of Lord Vishnu. The programme concluded with Dhanushree Thillana, ‘Brindavan ki Kunj Gali Mein’ dedicated to Lord Krishna. The programme was appreciated by a large and discerning audience which was held captivated by the wonderful coordination, rhythmic and graceful movements and intricate footwork of the artistes.

The entire troupe was indeed blessed not only to perform at Tirupati, but also had Divine Darshan of the Lord on the morning of 15 March 2015, before their performance. The Special Darshan, we are sure, contributed in no small measure in elevating the performance of the entire group and showing their devotion to Lord Venkateswara.
