Students of classes II & III participated in a Project –‘Realm of Symbols’ to explore various international symbols on Clothing, Food and Automobiles, of USA, Australia, Japan, Korea and India to learn about the significance and history behind their inception.
This Project is a part of our ‘International School Award’. A class discussion was held to initiate them and brief them about the project and its outcome. The basic aim was to give them a knowledge and understanding about the usage and importance of various international symbols. This would induce critical thinking and promote teamwork. This would also help to develop a sense of connect with other nations and become socially conscious. The students were shown a power point presentation on International Symbols: ‘Its significance and usage’. Based on the presentation the students made a collage. They were given a worksheet to test the knowledge gained. There was also a Quiz based on the project.
