SST week was organized in N.K BAGRODIA PUBLIC SCHOOL, sec-4 , Dwarka from (15.01.18 to 23.01.18). There were variety of activities and competitions conducted in the classes (I to IX) like dress up as your favorite ‘Community Helper’ and speak about him/her, dress up as your favorite ‘Role Model’ and speak about the same, collage making on various dresses representing different states of India, informative collection of National Symbols of India, Monuments of India, Poster making on Gender Sensitivity, Slogan writing on Save Environment and lastly Mock Parliament The students participated enthusiastically in all the activities. All the activities stressed on different aspects of Social Studies. Students participated in Mock Parliament, an exercise meant to create awareness among them about the functioning of the top legislative body in the country. They enacted the roles of the ruling as well as opposition party MPs besides that, of Ministers and the Speaker. Most aspects related with the functioning of Parliament were covered during the mock session. “Discussion on various issues, the Question Hour, Oath Ceremony, Obituary Reference, Breach of Privilege, Papers to be laid on table, Legislative Business and even debate and voting on The Muslim Women (Protection Of Rights On Marriage) Bill 2017 were some of the highlights of the show. The “session” was conducted the same way the Lok Sabha does.The week was concluded with the Inter House competition i.e. extempore on Fundamental Rights Of India held on 23rd January 2018. The event was graced by the Principal Dr (Ms) Rajee N Kumar, the head mistress Ms Singh. The students of class IX presented interesting facts and figures and their views regarding the fundamental rights which were given to them on the spot. The Principal madam announced the result .The winner of the Inter House Competition was Aryabhatt House followed by the Siddharth House at 2nd place.
