Sonu Sood has always been at the forefront of noble causes and has always contributed to the society in his own way. While he owns a free public gym in Ludhiana, Punjab, he is planning to launch a similar project in Mumbai as well.

According to a source, the talented actor and philanthropist has been distributing food and other basic essentials among the needy at Shree Ayyappa temple, in Goregaon since the last 15 years.

Sonu, who will organise a function at the temple soon, where he will give food, clothes, stationery and books to the needy says, “It’s my way of doing something for society. I think people should come forward and contribute however they can.”

Talking about his association with the temple, the fitness freak says, “After shooting for several films in the southern states of India for years, I have developed a strong faith in Ayyappa Swami. This is why I chose the Shree Ayyappa Temple in Goregaon.”
