A Mesmerizing Grandparents Day at Sri VIS, Sector 18, Dwarka

Sri VIS, Sector 18, Dwarka believes in developing the overall personality of its students and faculty by providing them with opportunities for creating new potential and showcasing it. Each class till grade 6 celebrates its own cultural day. The one that is most cherished is the Grandparents Day of teh youngest lot – the Pre-School students.

On December 17, 2016 the school auditorium saw two back to back performances of the musical “The Pied Piper”. The audience were transported to the German town of Hamelin that experienced heavy infestation of rats and mice long ago. A Piper helped the town to get rid of this menace. The Town Mayor faulted in adequately rewarding the Pied Piper. The Piper took his ire out. The story moved on to a happy ending. The entire ballet presented in a very professional style brought out the message that “Promises are meant to be kept.”
The Chief Guests – Mr Sailander Solanki, Chairman Sri VIS, Group Captain Ishwar Singh, the Guests of Honour – Mr Gitesh Singh anchor of corporate events and Ms Preetinder Kaur – HT Media official were highly impressed. Mr Gitesh Singh said that children should be guided and allowed to pursue their own dreams. He also said that this programme had so many highs that he cannot believe that it was not managed by an event company. The revolving platform, the aerial acts, the UV and other light effects made the performances unbelievably mesmerizing.
Principal Ms Nita Arora welcomed the august gathering comprising the grandparents and parents. Ms Shailja Chandar, Pre-Primary Coordinator and Head Innovation moved the vote of thanks.
