‘Sukh Dukh Ke Sathi Sanstha’ of Dwarka celebrated its annual function on Sunday the 16th September, 2012 in Community Hall of Harmony Apartments, Sector-23, Dwarka. The program started with Saraswati Vandana written and sung by Shri P.B.Mishra, Jt. Secretary of the Sanstha and anchor of the program. Shri Vijay Shanker Singh, President, welcomed the chief guest Shri Rajesh Gehlot, Chairman Standing Committee of South Delhi Municipal Corporation and other distinguished guests such as Shri Sushil Kumar, President Dwarka Forum, Shri C.K.Rejimon, Vice President Dwarka Forum, Smt. Cicily Kodian, President Association of Neighbourhood Ladies Get-together, Shri Mukesh Sinha, Dwarka City, Branch Managers of State Bank of India of sector-23, 12, 10, 7, 11 ,10 & NIST.
The Sanstha earlier successfully organized three such get-togethers in Sept. 2010, January 2011 & Sept. 2011. The president in his address explained that the primary aim of the Sanstha is to have close interaction among like-minded people and also provide cooperation in sukh-dukh of co-members and also to work for the development activities of the area. The general secretary Shri Shashi Kant Kapoor gave a detailed report of the activities carried out by the Sanstha during last one year. He also informed that the membership of the Sanstha has increased to 180. In his address, he informed that the Sanstha members planted 1000 trees in this monsoon season against 500 trees planted last year and also augmented areas of other activities for social cause. The Vice President Shri S.P.S. Chauhan gave a brief account planned for next year. Captain S.S. Mann, Development Co-ordinator of Sanstha gave a critical view of the development activities of the zone. Shri Sukhil Kumar, President & Shri CK Rejimon, Vice-President of Dwarka Forum as well as Smt. Cicily Kodyan, President ANLGT also praised the work of the Sanstha. Shri Rakesh Kumar, Manager, SBI, Sector-23, Dwarka, highlighted various schemes of the bank especially for the benefit of senior citizens. Admiring the work done by the Sanstha. Osho Suraj, Co-ordiantor Shri Mukesh Sinha, Director (Media) Dwarka City Plus also encouraged the Sanstha to continue the social activities & promised to project the work of the Sanstha in whole of Dwarka. The chief guest felicitated very senior citizens of the Sanstha and a citation was read out by Shri D.C. Mathur, Convenor of the Sanstha. Shri Rajesh Gehlot in his address highlighted various projects of Dwarka. He also promised to help for the social activities being carried out by the Sanstha. He also informed that sanitation work in Dwarka will be taken over by South Delhi Municipal Corporation from 26th September 2012.
Thereafter, an entertainment program was conducted, starting with a melodious bhajan by Mrs. Sulekha Mishra. Shri BL Raina, a 75 year old member of the Sanstha sang melodious ghazals, followed by many others. The photo exhibition and display of newspaper clippings about Sanstha, highlighting various activities was organized by Shri Parminder Khetarpal, an active member of the Sanstha. In the end, a vote of thanks was given by Shri S.C. Chawla, Secretary of Sanstha.
