Sukh Dukh ke Sathi Sanstha celebrated World Environment Day

Sukh Dukh ke Sathi Sanstha celebrated World Environment Day 2015 from 5th June–14th June, 2015. On 5th June a painting competition for under privileged children and a plantation drive was organized .Shri Ramesh Mumukshu, an environment activist was the chief guest of the function. Shri Devraj, Assistant director horticulture also attended the function. During the period from 6th –13th various activities such as cleanliness drive, removal of hoardings, cutting of branches of trees obstructing traffic light of sectors22&23, removal of congress grass of parks were organized. 

On the concluding day of the drive a function was organized in Chitrakoot Apartment, sector22, Dwarka. Shri Gulab Singh, M.L.A Matiyala was the chief guest of the function. Col P.C Chaudry welcomed the distinguished guests and placed on record the social activities carried out by the Sanstha, while Shri P.B Misra conducted the proceedings.

Diwan Singh, an eminent environment activist delivered a talk on the dilapidated sate of water bodies of Dwarka and enumerated the importance of the revival of these water bodies. Dr Gurpreet Singh delivered a lecture on eye care and stressed the need of regular eye check up from time to time. Arun Aggarwal gave an enriching lecture encapsulating the evils of air pollution, which was duly appreciated by one and all. 

Captain S.S Mann gave a brief account of work done by the Sanstha related to environment. Ms Suchita Mahajan, a representative of Green Peace informed the audience about the projects undertaken by their organization in the field of solar energy which benefited the public at large.

In conclusion a poem on environment was sung by Sh. D C Mathur which was followed by high tea. Sh Gulab Singh acknowledged the sincere efforts of Sukh Dukh ke Sathi Sanstha and promised his whole hearted support in the future endeavors of the Sanstha.
