‘The Kudos Dance Award’ 2014 bestowed upon Sandip Soparrkar

Dance has always been an integral part of films, be it Bollwyood or Hollywood both the worlds have used dance to enhance their films. Creative work, popular dance steps and choreographies in cinema make the movies more attractive and entertaining for the audience. Sandip Soparrkar is one of the few choreographers of India who has not only worked on award winning Bollywood film but has also created innovative moves for Hollywood projects.

He is a dancer who not just teaches dance but also choreographs for films, stage shows and musicals, his vast knowledge in dance, its culture and history won him accordance world over. Seeing his popularity ‘The Kudos Dance Award’ 2014 honored him with ‘India’s Best Choreographer’ Award last week in a glittering ceremony in New Delhi.

There is no doubt that Sandip has created some master piece choreographies and has set a level for others to follow. His life is completely dedicated to dance, from volunteering to teach dance to less fortunate and underprivileged people to making the stars like Madonna, Shakira, Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra etc dance to his tunes, he has been doing it all with ease.

Audiences are enthralled with the mesmerizing choreography done by Sandip in different movies and stage events. Be it the Asian Games or the World Economic Forum he has performed around the globe and is well recognized and applauded for his unique style of dancing, but Britney Spears album “Womenzier” made him touch the sky few years back.

After the kind of commitment and innovations Sandip has shown in his choreographies he truly deserves this popular award. He has complete knowledge of culture, history and tradition of various dances from world over, he always grasps the lyrics and bringing forth the emotions through his dance choreographies which is really very unique about his body of work, Bollywood is indeed lucky to have a choreographer like him.
