UTTRAKHAND RELIEF WORK BY BASAVA STUDENTS

In the month of June 2013, Uttrakhand was struck by a major natural calamity in which thousands perished and left many more homeless. Basava students took up the humanitarian task by open heartedly donating daily need items like blankets, non perishable food items, umbrellas, stationary, clothes, etc. All these items were donated to Goonj which is an NGO involved in providing relief work.

Children actively participated in collecting, segregating and packing the relief items with full enthusiasm. Such activities will help them to become responsible and sensitive citizens of India. This will finally make them aware to global issues.
