There is a famous Line by Majrooh Sultanpuri – “Main akela hi chala tha, Jaanib-e-manzil Magar, Log Milte gaye karwaan Banta gaya”. This holds true for the journey of the NGO – Paramarthi- Ek Prayatan. Way back in 2017, the NGO was started by one man only – Mr. R.N. Tondon and it grew up like fire. This was because of the cause and dedicated efforts of Mr. Tandon. While Paramarthi has managed to clean large chuck in Dwarka, the NGO also initiates and participates in other social activities such as organizing blood donation camps and Tree Plantation. All this just happened in the short span of one and a half year.
Recently, Paramarthi got the opportunity to conduct “Tree Plantation Drive” at Sachdeva Global School, Sector – 18A, Dwarka, New Delhi. The school has quite a large open area, where they intended to plant the trees with the involvement their students. Entire team of Paramarthi, students and the staff of the school wholeheartedly participated in the drive. This drive was a joint effort of Sachdeva Global School, DDA (Delhi Development Authority) and Paramarthi- Ek Prayatan.
This is not the first time that Paramarthi is approached for such a big tree planting project. Due to their great work and dedication, several societies, blocks, colonies and school involve this NGO for similar projects.
Whole idea behind this drive in the schools is to make the environment clean and breathable at the same time as teaching the students to value plants and trees. The young generation in the school celebrated the bond with nature through this plantation drive.
Taking in consideration of the exhausting green areas in the city, Paramarthi has also been planting seedlings in various areas, main streets, grounds and by the sides of major roads in Dwarka sub-city. By doing so, Paramarthi – Ek Prayatam is trying to set an example for the residents, which has urged them to join this move to save the environment by growing more and more trees.
