Mumbai Celebrating Ram Leela

With the grace & blessings of Lord Shri Ram, from the past 34 years, Shree Ramleela Prachar Samiti (Malad) has been organising Ram Leela which is Performed at Shivaji Chowk, Ramlila Ground, Jakariya Road, Malad west. It has become an integral part of the Navratra Festival in the city. This utsav has entered into its 60th year and this time, the organisers are leaving no stone unturned to make the celebration grand. The event is supported and choreographed by artistic director and choreographer Sumit Khetan. He said, “We’ve put in our soul into making this a grand success. This utsav shall be a great spiritual event, and shall give a lot of learning to our society. 

The 10 days event, which is a dramatic folk re-enactment of the life of Rama, is set to begin at 7pm. Residents cutting across all religions, age, castes and creeds will be seen flocking on the ground to witness this mega event, once again impressing on the message of national integrity. Ramleela Prachar Samiti was formed on the Independence Day of 1982 by Late Shri Radheshyam Gupta, Late Shri Atmaram Agarwal, Late Shri Dayaram Bhoot, Shri Devkinandan Jindal, Shri Satyanarayan Gupta & Shri Sitaram Gupta.
The event is performed by the great devotional group from Moradabad called “Shree Ram Manas Manch” in the direction of Founder Director, Mr Rajesh Rastogi. The Music Director, Singer of the event is BrijGopal Vyas, The background Commentary and dialogue has been headed by Dinesh Manas and Anjana Sharma.

Sumit has to add, Its a great devotional and spiritual event .I have been a part of it for past 20 years. And has seen growth in my life every year, and i would like to give complete credit to this sacred place.
