The DLF Ltd was declared the successful bidder for development of the international convention and exhibition centre at Sector-24, Dwarka, after the financial bid was opened on Tuesday. DLF submitted a bid of Rs.901.08 crore, against the reserve price of Rs.900 crore. The international convention centre is one of DDA’s most ambitious projects and is spread over an area of 14 hectares. The complex will have an integrated built-up area of 1,83,000 sq m. The centre will comprise 86,400-sq m convention and exhibition complex, 60,000 sq m built-up area for a hotel complex, and 36,600 sq m for a commercial complex.
The site is connected to NH-8 by a 100-meter wide road, and complex will have one convention hall with a capacity to sit 12,000 persons. It will also have 25 meeting rooms of varying capacity — to accommodate between 30 and 200 persons — and two exhibition halls of minimum 5,000 sq m each. The hotel complex will have a minimum 800 rooms; at least one 5-star hotel in the complex is projected to have 300 rooms.- Expressindia
