The students of N.K.Bagrodia School, Sector-4, Dwarka, observed ‘Dignity of Labour Day’ with much enthusiasm on Wednesday 28.10.2015. Activities were held in various classes so that the students learn that labour is one of the greatest elements of society, the great substantial interest on which we stand. A special programme was also held which was attended by teachers and Principal Dr. Rajee N. Kumar. Children of Class 3 gave beautiful hand made cards and gifts to maids, conductors and sweepers. The cards had lovely messages. The children then gave speeches on importance and value of labourers in our life. The students also vowed to help the employees by keeping the environment neat and clean. The class IV employees were taken aback by the show of affection and numerous expressions of gratitude. Principal Rajee N. Kumar also thanked the employees acknowledging their contributions and admitting their irreplaceable inputs for the welfare of the school and motivated students to respect all such people without whose help, life would not be that easy. Special programmes were held in various classes too. Students of Class 1st -5th distributed gifts to class IV employees of not only school but of nearby societies too. Students of Class 6th, 7th and 8th presented skit in their respective classes signifying dignity of labour. A speech competition on the origin and significance of ‘Labour Day’ was held amongst students of Class 9th and 10th. There was gleeful and festive environment in the school as the programmes continued in various classes.
