This is the report regarding our visit to the post office. I have penned down my experience in that heart absorbing session.
OUR VISIT TO THE POST OFFICE
It was a very enthralling experience for the students of DAV DWARKA to visit the post office situated at SECTOR-6 DDA MARKET ,DWARKA.
This visit was organised under the’ DIGITAL INDIA CAMPAIGN’ an initiative taken by our honourable prime minister SH.NARENDRA MODI. The visit aimed at building a digitally empowered society.
At the post office, we got an opportunity to have a direct dialogue with Mr. AJIT KUMAR- THE POSTMASTER who gave us the detailed information about the working of the post office. He further told us about the advantages of incorporating technology in the post office. He even told us about the use of printing machine which has reduced the expenditure of the post office to a large extent.Use of technology in the management has made the functioning of the post office easy and more organised.
He further highlighted various schemes like KISAN VIKAS PATRA, SENIOR CITIZEN SCHEMES, SUKANYA SAMRIDDHI YOJANA(SSY) etc.which are beneficial to different sections of the society.
We were delighted when we were shown some stamps valued from Rs.20 to Rs.120.He also showed us many different envelopes and postcards that we saw for the very first time in our life.
It was indeed a beneficial and an enriching experience for all of us to get an overview of the working of such department and were very happy to get the opportunity to know about its functioning and how it is spreading happiness,emotions through a letter.
