The senior Citizen Association Dwarka, a registered body celebrated its annual function 2014 on 11th October at CCRT auditorium at sector 7, Dwarka, Shri Parvesh Verma, Hon’ble Member Parliament was the chief guest and Shri rajesh Gehlot MLA presided over the function as a guest of honour. Around 400 elderly members, men and women of the association took part in the function from all over Dwarka.
Sh. Balbir Singh yadav President of the association welcome the delegates and guests as well, Sh. S P Rastogi, General Secretary gave the brief of accounts and apprised the members about the association activities held during the past year.
The activities mainly concerning to welfare of older persons. Mr Parvesh Verma MP respecting the gathering stated that the Central Govt. is determined to take full care of senior citizens in all respect, who are and have been pillar of the society. Mr Rajesh Gehlot MLA in his address highlighted the need of special care and welfare of senior citizens residing in Dwarka in particular. Mr Gehlot further elaborated that a recreation centre in Dwarka sector 6 is now ready and will be handed over to the association shortly. He further referred about the 750 bedded hospital in sector 9 whose construction has begun and water problem of Dwarka which was in pipeline since long is also likely to be completed by the end of this week.
