Renowned author Manish Oli unveiled his fourth book, Aapka Gyan-Aapki Taqat, at the prestigious Doon Library and Research Centre. Focused on simplifying the Consumer Protection Act, the book aims to empower consumers with knowledge of their rights and remedies.
The book launch was graced by Information Commissioner Yogesh Bhatt and Saurabh Tiwari, Director of the Bureau of Indian Standards, Dehradun branch.
Speaking at the event, Yogesh Bhatt lauded the democratic essence of laws like the Consumer Protection Act, crafted to uphold the rights of the people. He emphasized the importance of staying informed and vigilant to safeguard individual interests.
Saurabh Tiwari provided an in-depth overview of the Act, highlighting the Bureau of Indian Standards’ role in promoting consumer awareness. He encouraged attendees to actively exercise their rights and lodge complaints when necessary.
Author Manish Oli shared insights into his motivation for writing the book, explaining how he simplified the Act to make it accessible to a wider audience. He stressed the importance of consumer awareness and detailed how the Act’s provisions are designed to protect citizens in their everyday dealings.
Published by Binsar Publications, Aapka Gyan-Aapki Taqat is Manish Oli’s latest contribution to empowering readers, following the success of his three previous books.
The event was expertly moderated by VK Dobhal, while Program Associate Chandrashekhar Tiwari extended a warm welcome to the guests and attendees. Distinguished personalities such as Atul Sharma, Sundar Singh Bisht, Kirti Nawani, Kulbhushan Naithani, Madan Singh, Jagdish Mehar, Sanjay Naithani, and Awadhesh Sharma were present, alongside authors, journalists, and literary enthusiasts.
