On the eve of Republic Day, during the most prestigious and grand poetry symposium organized by All India Radio, senior journalist, poet, and renowned film and art critic Mr. Pradeep Sardana will present a poetry recitation. On this special occasion, All India Radio has honored Mr. Sardana with the ‘Akashvani Samman’ in recognition of his contributions to the world of poetry. The award was presented to him by All India Radio Delhi’s Assistant Director Mr. Ramavatar Bairwa and Ms. Manisha Jain.
For nearly 50 years, Mr. Pradeep Sardana has been actively contributing to the fields of writing, journalism, and poetry. While he is widely known as a film critic, he has also made a significant impact in the realms of poetry and literature. His poems and stories have been published in various magazines and prestigious literary yearbooks over the years. Notably, one of his stories was adapted for the popular Doordarshan series Jharokha, which featured select stories from world-renowned authors such as Oscar Wilde, Mark Twain, Chekhov, Jaishankar Prasad, Maupassant, and Katherine Mansfield.
The annual All-Language Poetry Symposium of Akashvani will be broadcast on January 25 at 10 PM across the entire All India Radio network, Indraprastha Channel, FM Gold, and AIR Live News.
