To promote awareness about the rich Indian heritage under the aegis of Spic Macay, The Indian Heights School, Sector 23, Dwarka organized a scintillating Odissi Dance performance–cum-Lecture by renowned Odissi dancer Ms.Sharon Lowen on October 20, 2014 in the school premises. The program commenced with lighting of the lamp followed by facilitation and welcome by the Principal, Ms. Archana Narain. Ms. Sharon Lowen accompanied by her troupe of experienced musicians enraptured all with her beautiful “abhinaya. The performance was thoroughly enjoyed by students of TIHS and the guest schools. In the interactive session, Ms. Sharon Lowen explained the origin and finer nuances of the popular dance form. The students were enriched by the event and were given a deeper insight into the rich culture and boundless heritage of our country.
