A Pathbreaking Preschool Cambridge Colours inaugurated by Honourable Mayor Mrs Kamaljeet Sehrawat at Dwarka

A group of eminent educationists came together on Saturday to inaugurate Cambridge Colours, India’s first STEM pre-school in Dwarka, Sector 17, thus opening the pre-school for admissions. Cambridge Colours Preschool works on children from 18 months to 8 years through a Preschool, Daycare Centre, Afterschool Courses, Teachers Training and a Mother-Toddler programme.

“The vision behind Cambridge Colours is to create children ready for the 21st century. The ‘out of the box’ thinking required for maximum job opportunities in the near future, can only come about if the education is initiated skill-wise and not just subject-wise,” said Anju Mehta, founder of Cambridge Colours, who has had decades of experience at leadership positions at Maxfort School, Dwarka, Educomp, British Council and St Xavier’s Group of Schools.

The teaching pedagogy and curriculum of Cambridge Colours have been prepared with the premise that all the relevant skills of a toddler need to be worked on simultaneously in order to ensure confidence building and all round development. “This new concept of preschooling will surely bring in a revolutionary change in elementary education”-said one of the parents who had come to attend the Inauguration of the pre-school and day care centre.

Cambridge Colours Preschool and Daycare Centre was inaugurated by Honourable Mayor of South Delhi, Mrs Kamaljeet Sehrawat. Speaking on the occasion, Mrs Sehrawat stressed on the importance of formative education. She said that Cambridge Colours provides a conducive environment especially designed for the pitter patter of curious minds to explore their natural interests and learn through play. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Mrs Nita Arora, the Principal of Sri Venkateshwara World School, Sector 18, Dwarka. ”Cambridge Colours aims to bring the same quality of STEM focussed preschool learning that the children have access to in the west. I am happy that this preschool is trying to inculcate these early habits and joy of learning that are the building blocks on which future learning is built upon,” said Mrs. Arora.
The Director Mr Ajay Nangia,who is based out of Washington DC,US said,The secure learning environment that Cambridge Colours brings to the parents will ensure not only the children’s success in school but will also make sure that they are thriving, successful members of the 21st century STEM inclined workforce. The foundation the school will lay in children’s early years when their brains are most pliable will ensure effortless learning in years to come and build their confidence. Apart from the Inauguration, Cambridge Colours also organized a vibrant Talent Hunt which will be an Annual event. Also gracing the occasion with their presence as the Guests of Honour were Mrs Jyoti Mahajan, Headmistress OPG World School, Mr Mukesh Sinha Managing Director Dwarka City, Maj General M S Khara, Managing Director Rakshit Estates.
