Basava International School conducted a special assembly to celebrate their students’ glorious achievements in SOF Olympiad, 2012-13. Six students of various classes have brought laurels to their parents and school by being among top 25 ranks in Delhi state. Prachi Rawat of class IX has 3rd rank in IEO. Chinmay Kumar of class IV has 10th rank in NCO, Dhruv Srivastava of class V is ranked 6th in NCO, Suraj Joshi of class VIII earned 8th rank in IMO and 9th in NCO and Apaar Garg has 19th rank in IMO. The school invited the proud parents of these talented students to grace the occasion. The Chief Guest, Dr.UNB Rao, Chairperson and Founder of the Urvi Vikram Trust,which works for the empowerment of the youth, lauded the hard work of the meritorious students and encouraged them to continue with dedication and determination. He appreciated the school and the Principal, Dr. Manimala Roy, for the quality education and holistic development of the children at Basava.
The award ceremony was preceded by a special presentation on Uttrakhand disaster and how to save planet Earth. They underlined the need to preserve natural resources and maintain biodiversity. The Principal applauded the efforts of the students and congratulated them for their strive for excellence.
