Sukh Sukh Sathee, a renowned association of senior citizens in Dwarka, celebrated Guru Nanak’s birthday on 17th Nov’2013 in the park behind Manish Global Mall, Sec-22, Dwarka. Members of the association gathered on this occasion with their families and friends. Many local residents of the area were also present . Capt. S.S. Mann, Vice President of Sanstha and Sardar Kulvinder Singh Kang, a well know poet, anchor and International Cricket Commentator and others described life and preaching of Guru Nanankji in brief. PARSAD prepared by families of the Sanstha members was humbly distributed with all the delight to all present in the park. Efforts made by Capt SS Mann and GR Bains to organize the event were praised by all.
On this occasion, The Sanstha also celebrated Bal Divas in loving memories of Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru. Children from the under privileged class staying in Juggi’s and villages in nearby area were specially invited by the Sanstha to participate in painting competition and children sports events. Prizes were distributed to the winners with consolation prizes to others and refreshment to all. The park was decorated with colourful papers and balloons keeping in view the children event. More than one hundred people attended the events. President of Sanstha Shri Vijay Shanker Singh, conveyed thanks to all those present for making the celebrations successful, in his closing address.
