Children’s Day at TIHS

On 14th November, celebrated all over India as Children’s Day, to commemorate the birth anniversary of the first Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Lal Nehru, had a unique twist at The Indian Heights School, Sector 23, Dwarka. “Pandit ji” popularly known as Chacha Nehru, was present in person to interact with the children.

A teacher dressed up as chacha Nehru went around the wings of the school, interacting with children, telling them stories from the life of Nehru ji and distributing roses, his favourite flower. Teachers put up a cultural programme for the l’l ones. The foyer area was decorated and students were greeted warmly by respective facilitators.

Candies were distributed to all the children. Toys were collected to be forwarded to those less privileged than us. Students thoroughly enjoyed the day with chacha Nehru.
