New Delhi September 6, 2018 FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO), the women business wing of trade body FICCI is organised a very interesting session with Deepika Padukone, one of the topmost actresses in India and recipient of several awards, including three Filmfare Awards on September 8, 2018 in New Delhi .
Cine star Deepika Padukone features in listings of the nation’s most popular personalities, and Time named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2018.
Alongside her acting career, Padukone has written columns for an Indian newspaper, is a prominent celebrity endorser for brands and products, and is vocal about issues such as feminism and depression. She has designed her own line of clothing for women and is the founder of the Live Love Laugh Foundation, which creates awareness on mental health in India.
The session very aptly titled “Finding Beauty in Imperfection”, with Anna Chandy in conversation with Deepika Padukone. Anna Chandy Chairperson of Deepika Padukone’s ‘The Live Love Laugh Foundation’,stood by Deepika’ s side while she battled with her mental health as her therapist, as her guide and as her mentor. She is the country’s first supervising and training transactional analyst, who today dons the hat of chairperson of the Deepika Padukone-led Live Love Laugh Foundation. She is also certified in neuro-linguistic programming and art therapy.
As a part of its activities, FLO brings together women achievers for interactive sessions on breaking through challenges, beating the odds, walking the pathways of courage and playing the role of inspirational role model for women around the globe.
