DEADLINE SET FOR DEVELOPMENTAL WORK AT DWARKA

Delhi Development Authority is now paying requisite attention for the development of Dwarka. This was evident in the Mr. Rajesh Gehlot, Councillor and members, DDA held a meeting with Chief Engineer, S. R. Solanki and other officials of DDA to discuss various problems and pending developmental work at the behest of Dwarka Forum.

Mr. Solanki informed that the work for community centers in sector in Sector 3, 11, 13, 14, 17, 18, 19 and at Dhoolsaras village shall start from the period of two months to six months. Chief Engineers gave time-bound programme for different works and assured that the repairs of DDA flats in Various Sectors shall be undertaken in three months. The pending work in DDA’s parks shall be completed within two months. Chief Engineer informed that the charge of parks has recently been taken over by Shri Brij Lal, Dy. Director. He said that the expert advise from the foreign experts is being sough and the work for its development shall resume soon. He said that Rs 20-crore have been sanctioned for the dense carpeting of all roads in Dwarka and plots reserved for Local Shopping Centers in all main sectors shall be auctioned soon and work on at least one more sport complex will start soon. The underground laying of cables has already commenced in two sectors and after the completion, the poles will be removed. Mr. Solanki said that the multi-level parking in sector 7, 11, 13 and 22 has been approved. On the outstanding demand of providing lights in parks, he said that the work of providing lights would start soon. Rajesh Gehlot told the Chief Engineer that DDA is not aware of some plots under it and the Chief Engineer assured that the boundary walls shall be erected on vacant plots of DDA. He also informed that work to develop the water bodies in Villages and in sector 7 within 3 months and the development of village shall be undertaken from the Village Development Fund. At the end of the meeting, the representatives thanked Mr. Rajesh Gehlot, Councillor and Chief Engineer and others for acceding to their just demands and expressed overall satisfaction. The meeting was held on 3rd March, 2010 in which Sushil Kumar, Rajiv Solanki and Virender Bisht from Dwarka Forum were also present.
