About six thousand Gyms operating in Delhi have been saved from being sealed due to the efforts of Delhi BJP President Shri Manoj Tiwari. Delhi Gym Association today held a programme at Delhi Haat Auditorium in Janakpuri today to thank BJP Delhi. Rajyasabha MP Shri Vijay Goel, MP Pravesh Sahib Singh Verma, LOP Shri Vijender Gupta, Mayor Smt. Sunita Kangda, NDMC Standing Committee Chairman Shri Jai Prakash, MLA Shri Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Pradesh Vice President Shri Rajeev Babbar, Media Co-Incharge Shri Neelkant Bakshi, Councilors of West Delhi, President of Delhi Gym Association Shri Bhupender Dhawan, General Secretary Shri Punit Singh Nidar, Vice President Shri Harmeet Luthra, Shri Tapesh Dutta were present on this programme.
Replying to the thanks by the Gym Association, Delhi BJP President Shri Manoj Tiwari said that due to the wrong policies of Congress Government, these gyms were at the verge of being closed. 6000 gyms which came into existence after Master Plan 2008 were to be sealed which may have resulted in rendering about 1 lakh people unemployed. When a delegation of Delhi Gym Association met me for help, then I talked to the Urban Development Minister Shri Hardeep Singh Puri. In view of the seriousness of the case, Shri Hardeep Singh Puri immediately stopped the sealing process. BJP believes in Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwash.
Shri Vijay Goel said that the Gyms are necessary in the residential areas which help the people to remain fit. Under Fit India programmes, the Modi Government has also stressed upon the need to remain fit. In this situation, the general public may have suffered if the gyms were sealed. BJP wants that no one should suffer and it is ready to raise its voice against injustice.
LOP Shri Vijender Gupta said that if India becomes healthy only then it will progress. People go to gyms for Yoga and various physical exercises. The previous Government used to frighten the people by illegal sealing. Now, the Nareder Modi Government will not allow any injustice to the people. The people of the country very well know that the Narender Modi Government wants the progress of all and make India a great country. The presence of large number of people in this thanks giving programme gives us more energy to work for the people.
MP Shri Pravesh Sahib Singh said that in today’s lifestyle we don’t have enough time to visit fitness centers which are far away but the nearby gyms fulfill our need. Anybody can avail this facility at anytime near his residence. Had these gyms been sealed then the people may have suffered. Joining gyms has become a part of our daily routine. BJP stands with the people of Delhi against illegal sealing in any field.
