DWARKA FORUM meeting was held with Shri A. K. Agarwal, Chief Engineer (Projects), Delhi Development Authority on 15th July, 2022 at his Office at Shahpur Jatt, New Delhi.
Dwarka Forum handed over a letter to Chief Engineer (Projects), Delhi Development Authority on some ongoing projects and other suggestions and discussed in detail the current status of development and rejuvenation of two trunk drains i.e. TD-2 and TD-5 for stormwater discharge of Dwarka, New Delhi, said A S Chhatwal, General Secretary, Dwarka Forum.
Shri A. K. Agarwal, Chief Engineer (Projects), briefed us about the salient features of the project and informed us that the work has already started on both the trunk drains by Delhi Development Authority.
Shri Agarwal further briefed that this is a project to rejuvenate the drains by way of sewerage interception and treatment and adjoining area development with facilities like cycle tracks, natural trails and walkways, yoga pavellion, exhibition plaza and open-air food courts etc.
These rejuvenated drains shall provide a clean and green environment, where people would like to go out for a walk, jogging, cycling etc.
Regarding the construction of Airport drain is concerned, Chief Engineer assured that hopefully the work would be started soon.
