If we are hoping that there will not be any water problem at Dwarka this summer as it will start getting water from Munak Canal, our hope is not going to be fulfilled at least by June this year. Dwarka is scheduled to get 50 MGD water from this canal. Haryana government is not going to complete the canal before June and Delhi Jal Board is not sure about the fulfilment of this new deadline and therefore is not certain about the availablity of water this summer from the canal. However, its Water Treatment Plant at Dwarka is ready for water from the canal.
Only top leadership at the Centre can save the day by prevailing upon the Haryana for the early completion of the canal, the deadline for its completion has been extended many times in the past by the Haryana government.
