The Income Tax Department, Government of India, honored its officers Aniket Gupta and Deepika Dhiman for winning gold medals in two consecutive karate championships — the India Open International Karate-Do Championship (26 October, Punjab) and the 5th North India Zone Karate Championship (7 November, Talkatora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi).
The felicitation was coordinated by Nilofar Khan, Culture Secretary, Income Tax Sports & Recreation Club. The athletes also met senior officials, including Prasenjit Singh, Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (Delhi), Ashok Dande, Principal Commissioner (PCIT), Abhishek Sharma, Commissioner (Administration & TPS), and Poojan Rana, Additional Commissioner (Administration & Personnel–Gazetted Infra).
The officers appreciated the duo’s achievement and encouraged them to continue excelling at national and international sporting events.
