Investiture Ceremony at SVIS –Nurturing and Honouring Leaders…

The Investiture Ceremony of the Student Council of Sri Venkateshwar International School, Dwarka for the academic session 2014-2015 was held on July 5, 2014. The School Chairman Mr Sailander Solanki was the Chief Guest for the occasion. The Guests of Honour were Gp Capt Ishwar Singh, Advisor Venkateshwar Group of Schools, Ms Sunayna Gahlot, IAS trainee and Ms Parul Gaur, IPS trainee. The School Principal Ms Nita Arora introduced the guests of honour; welcoming them and elucidated the ethos that forms the backbone of the institution.

The esteemed guests along with the School Chairman and the Principal entrusted the students with the duties bestowed on them. The oath was administered by the Principal following the pinning ceremony seeking allegiance from the Prefectorial Board in terms of leadership, self reliance, mutual respect, cooperation and dedication.

The Head Boy Rajat Gaba and the Head Girl Urvashi Jain acknowledged their charter of duties promising to excel. The school song sung in unison by the Council Members clearly indicated their pride in being a part of this institution and reiterated their commitment to strive for excellence. 

The Guests of Honour appreciated the inculcation of democratic values along with a sense of responsibility at such a tender age. The luminaries shared the mantra for success through sheer hard work and dedication, infusing in all the confidence to reach the higher echelons.

The event concluded with the National Anthem once again bringing in pride not only in the newly elected Council Members but each SriVenkateshwarite. It was followed by continental lunch, wherein the newly elected Council Members from Classes IX to XII interacted with the Guests and discussed their dreams and the other avenues available to lead a meaningful life.

Later Pranjal Agrawal, Shivangi Singh, Ishpreet Kaur Gujral, Shivani Solanki along with other Class 10 Prefects made the alma mater proud by conducting the 2nd Dwarka Parichay Award Ceremony for felicitating about 1500 toppers from Dwarka region.
