Zee TV actors talk about their most memorable Holi celebrations – Part-I

With the festival of colours around the corner, Zee TV’s lead actors are talking about their most memorable Holi celebrations as well as their plans for this Holi…

Prembabu sharma

Asha Negi (Purvi of Pavitra Rishta): I think my last year’s Holi celebration was the most memorable. Since I was back in Dehradun I got a chance to celebrate it with my mischievous cousins! After years of being away from home, reliving the Holi of my childhood was the best thing I could have asked for. This year with only one day off, I will stay at home and use it as an opportunity to rest and celebrate with my roommates.
Hiten Tejwani (Manav of Pavitra Rishta):If something nice is happening in my building, then we will celebrate Holi there. Otherwise between our family friends,we will plan a celebration for sure. The kids love playing Holi and at their age even I used to be quite naughty but now I prefer playing Holi with natural colours or gulaal because as an actor, I need to use colours that come off easily.

Puru Chibber (Sachin of Pavitra Rishta):This year I will be celebrating Holi in Delhi. I think my lucky stars are out in full swing this year. I have plans of traveling to Delhi for some work in that week and will stay back and celebrate Holi with my childhood friends back there! Every good memory that I have of Holi has always been with them! Now who can say no to such good luck??!

Kratika Sengar (Aarti of Punarvivaah) I am strictly against synthetic colors as I have a sensitive skin. As an actor, I avoid breakouts like the plague, so only organic gulaal for me and my friends. I enjoyed Holi the most when I was in college. Back in Kanpur, we celebrated it on campus and it was hilarious to see the shocked faces of our professors when they realised that they weren’t being spared either!

Gurmeet Chaudhary (Yash of Punarvivaah) :I will be spending this Holi with my wife Debina and a few friends. We are up to a lot of masti with our closest friends who we invite over to our home. Unlike the last few years, I am just hoping that this year I don’t have to shoot on the day so that I can go ahead and make special plans with my family and friends. But ofcourse I will have an early Holi while shooting for Zee TV’s Holi special. Will be a lot of fun to drop Kratika into all that mud!

Karan Grover (Karan of Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli) This year, I’m going to be celebrating Holi twice as I’m first shooting for the Holi sequence on Hitler Didi with many of my favorite co-actors and then I’ll play Holi again on the actual day with my friends … they usually come over to my building and we have a ball … my most memorable Holi experience was playing it with my teachers in school. I had a crush on one of them and it was a dream come true for me!
Mrinalini Tyagi (Tejaswini of Pavitra Rishta) :My most memorable Holi was last year when I celebrated with my colleagues who unceremoniously dunked me in a tub of colour! I still have pics and an entire video of that very memorable scene! But being a Delhi girl, the only way I love celebrating Holi is by going all out with rang and bhang … I had a ball at a Holi party in Delhi last year. This year I willstay at home in Mumbai and catch up on rest.

Mrunal Jain (Sameer of Hitler Didi) – Back in college what I loved the most about Holi was all the attention some of the girls would lavish on me … I was a part of a fairly large group of friends in those days and the girls would invariably splash me with a lot of color and drench me with buckets of water, put mud in my hair and then ruffle my hair to clean up the mess. All this would drive some of the guys in my group insanely jealous and I would just love that high!
