N.K. BAGRODIA PUBLIC SCHOOL, DWARKA, observed Martyr’s Day


N.K. BAGRODIA PUBLIC SCHOOL, DWARKA, observed Martyr’s Day on 30th January 2017 which marked the humble tribute to our beloved Father of nation, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi and all the martyrs’ who laid their lives for our nation. The school principal Dr. (Mrs.) Rajee N. Kumar and the headmistress, Ms.satinder kaur warmly received the Honorable chief guest, Dr. (Mrs.) Aparna Basu, chairperson of the National Gandhi Museum, Rajghat, New Delhi and of All India Committee for the eradication of illiteracy of women, which was then followed by lighting of the lamp by the chief guest which was enlightened by the Welcome song sung by the students of the school.

Tiny tots showed their patriotism by singing and dancing on patriotic songs which graced the ceremony. Speech on ‘Mahatma Gandhi’s Life Message’ encouraged all to live in peace, harmony and treat everyone as if all human beings are the members of the same family. The ceremony also witnessed the poem recitation by class young Bagrodians. Students of class tenth also prepared a power point presentation on ‘Gandhiji’s contribution towards clean India’ which inspires us all to walk on the path of truth, non-violence, self-discipline and peace. The play on Mahatma Gandhi’s Life from his birth till his death in which the entire life of Gandhiji which was full of struggle, courage, self-determination, dedication and honesty was shown.

Honorable chief guest, Dr. Aparna Basu along with respected principal madam, headmistress madam, teachers and students very enthusiastically sung songs which included ‘ Raghu pati raghav raja ram…., vaishnav jan toh…. and many more patriotic songs. The students also showcased their talents by exhibiting various materials which they have made by recycling wastes and posters that they have made on Mahatma Gandhi. Honorable chief guest also visited the exhibition set up by Sulabh International. The school has been tirelessly working in order to achieve Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of clean and green India and is also spreading awareness among common mass to ensure clean and hygienic environment. It is not only the responsibility of local government bodies and sweepers to clean the surroundings. It is the duty of each one of us to do so.

In the end, Mrs. Aparna Basu, appreciated the hard work and coordination of the teachers and students and enlightened the students with her words of wisdom. She was so enthralled by the performance that she commented that it seemed that Gandhi ji has again come alive here at N.K.Bagrodia Public School, Dwarka on this day.
