This is a great achievement for this community which will be remembered by them. On behalf of the people of Delhi we have organised this Sukrana programme to thank our Prime Minister. Chanting the name of Guru ensures the welfare of the person and all of us should follow the path shown by our Guru. Guru Nanak Dev Ji was not only the Guru of the Sikhs and India rather he was source of inspiration for entire humanity. Besides being a Guru, Guru Nanak Dev Ji is also a thought and the basis of life. Our culture, values, upbringing, thinking have been shaped by the great souls like Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
Shri Tiwari also said that today Prime Minister Shri Narender Modi dedicated the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor to the Sikh devotees who will be able to visit the sacred place connected with Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The Sikh Community has benefitted by the decision of Central Government. The Sikh Gurus from Nanak Dev Ji to Guru Gobind Singh Ji have sacrificed for the unity and security of India. This tradition was also seen in the freedom struggle in which our Sikh brothers fought for the country. Their sacrifices are the source of inspiration for the young generation. Guru Nanak Dev Ji dedicated his life for the service of humanity and showed the path of social welfare by following religious path.
