QVS proves its Mettle at CBSE North Zone (Judo) and JFI, Pune

One more feather was added to the ‘winning cap’ of QVS when its students proved their mettle in the CBSE North Zone-I Judo Championship held at Chandigarh from the 27th – 30th September.

Showcasing of extraordinary skills of poise by the girls was a highly appreciated feature at the event. The queens also made a mark among the more than 250 competitors from many schools all over Northern India including teams from Jammu, Simla and Chandigarh and came home with jubilant results and dazzling medals around their neck making everyone proud. In the hard-hitting and taut competition under the supervision of international referees, their champions – Vanshika Sangwan, Garima Godara and Prachi Sharma, among the lot of 9 proud winners of the school, bagged silver medals and have been selected to represent the school at the national level. They put up a great show with their spectacular throwing techniques, control holds, arm locks and judo choking techniques. At JFI, Pune the three girls representing the school were Vanshika, Garima and Deepshikha, Vanshika bagging gold and a chance to prove herself at the international arena did herself and her alma mater proud. Amidst the heat of competition the girls have lived up to the motto of the institution – Have Dreams, Have Hope, Have Faith…..!
