September 21st is the UN International day for peace, since 2002 it is being observed as a day of global cease fire and non-violence and October 2nd is the UN International day for non-violence, commemorated in the memory of the father of the nation (India), Gandhi ji, for his philosophy and strategy for non-violence.

Our organization together with the United Nations Information Centre (UNIC), New Delhi is organizing a workshop for teachers – Creating a stable society: Teaching Peace and Non-Violence on Thursday, 22nd September 2011 at the UN Conference Hall, UN Complex, 55, Lodi Estate, New Delhi-110003 from 09:00 am to 12:30 pm.

Resource persons from United Nations Information Centre, New Delhi, UNESCO New Delhi office and a Gandhian scholar will address the participants.

You are requested to depute teachers of your school to participate in this important and informative workshop. Kindly send the confirmation mentioning the names of the teachers. Certificate of participation will be given. Packed lunch will be provided.
