SAMIKSHA SINGH” ENTRY YAHAAN MAIN GHAR GHAR KHELI

Prembabu Sharma

After a hiatus of more than two years Samiksha Singh is returning to the small screen. She will be seen essaying the role of Nilanjana Roy, a devout Bengali lady in Zee TV’s successful show Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli. She was last seen playing the lead in the serial Zara post which she was a part of  Telegu and Tamil movies.

Says Samiksha, “Characters like Nilanjana are like ‘Limited Editions,’ who come on air for a brief period of time but still manage to leave a mark in the minds of the audiences. Rajshree Productions takes very good care of their actors and Zee TV’s Yahaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli is one of the most successful shows currently on air… there was no way I could refuse the offer. The show has just completed 600 episodes and I am sure it’s inching slowly but steadily towards the 1000th episode mark. I was born and brought up in the North, have done movies in the South so the character of  Nilanjana, a Bengali woman fascinated me as it will expose me to the culture of a completely new territory which will in turn help me become a better actor.”

Samiksha will portray the role of Nilanjana Roy, a beautiful Bengali lady who is a staunch follower of Goddess Durga. She is the source of strength in her husband’s life, who is an agonistic, but supports his wife’s convictions because he loves her dearly. Viewers already know that there has been a face off between Abha (Suhasi Dhami) and Albeli (Abha’s double role) where the latter challenged Abha to prove her dentity! As a consequence Abha is sent to a dharmashala, which is owned by Nilanjana. One day, when a big Brahman bhoj has to be prepared at the dharmshala and the cook is absent, Abha cooks for the entire event and the lady is impressed with her. From here on, she helps Abha in her tryst to prove herself and reinstate herself as Abha in front of her family. Abha and Nilanjana form a sisterly bond in this process. Will Abha’s presence in Nilanjana’s life prove to be a boon or a bane? Will the Bengali bombshell drop a bomb in Abha Karan’s life?
