Silveri Srishailam, a veteran investigative journalist, is widely respected for exposing major national scandals—from the Bulk Drugs Customs scam to international smuggling networks involving strategic materials. With decades of commitment to public-interest reporting, his work has strengthened accountability and earned him credibility across media and civil society.
A former National Secretary of the National Union of Journalists-India, he has been a strong advocate of press freedom and journalists’ rights. Currently serving as Central Desk In-Charge at Prime9 News, he leads national editorial coordination and investigative coverage.
Notably, Srishailam is representing India at the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) 100th Centenary Congress in Paris (May 4–7, 2026)—as the only Indian journalist at this prestigious global forum, highlighting India’s voice in discussions on media ethics, press freedom, and the future of journalism.
