The Indian Heights School Dwarka celebrated its 7th Annual Day – VISTAS 2014

An exuberant evening at The Indian Heights School marked the celebrations of the 7th Annual Day, Vistas 2014 “Ehsaas-E-Azaadi……The Golden Dawn” on November 23, 2014 in the school premises.Many distinguished guests graced the occasion. His Excellency Hon. John Aquilina,High Comissioner of Malta Embassy along with the Special Secretary to LG, Dr Ajay Kumar Singla were the special guests for the evening. Lt Gen I S Singha,VSM. and Deputy Director of Education ,South West B, Ms Veena Tondon were the Guests of Honour.

The mood was festive and upbeat. The guests along with the chairperson of school Ms Madhu Gupta and principal,Ms Archana Narain gave an auspicious beginning to the programme by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Then the school choir along with the teachers sang the ‘Welcome Song’ and the very talented students played a soothing piece of music on the orchestra. This was followed by the display of Annual Report by Ms Archana Narain and the felicitation ceremony. All the meritorious students as well as the students with outstanding performances were honoured in a prize distribution ceremony.The Chief Guest in his speech admired the collective efforts of the students and teachers and congratulated the school for its good work.

The cultural programme started with an enthralling performance of ‘Durga-Stuti’ and ‘Swagatam Dance’ followed by thrilling and power-packed performances by our tiny-tots who beautifully brought out the theme of ‘Unity in Diversity.’

A tribute to our freedom fighters was given in a captivating manner wherein our students from Classes I to IX beautifully encaptured the theme of “Ehsaas-E-Azaadi” through Musical Ballad based on our struggle to freedom. The magnanimous effort of the students and their enchanting performances were appreciated by one and all. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks followed by the national anthem.
