The Indian born & now a Policeman in United Kingdom Kulbinder Rai willingly donated £1000 to Cancer Research Laboratory of Liecester University. It was really proud moment for all Indians because he created a unique image in the United Kingdom. Mr. Rai is really a Noble soul for a Noble cause informed Dwarka Parichay that hestarted doing Fund Raising for Cancer Charities and Hospitals through his Music when his Wife Sukhninder was Diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in 2009. She passed away in 2010 and is Still carrying on in her Memory, so that whatever he do it can Help someone out there Suffering with CANCER. He Performs for other Charities as well as Cancer Charities in other Countries as well as in UK, whenever he gets the opportunity.” He further added that he has been a Senior Special Police Constable in The UK for 20yrs, in that time he has been Awarded 3 Medals, 2 by The Queen and Also a Special Award from The Home Office. He has also been a Semi Professional Singer for the last 8yrs, Now he is Full Time into Music as a Professional Singer.
After college, he became an aerospace engineer and started working part-time as a special constable in 1994, where he earned three medals for his outstanding contribution to the police force including a Queen’s Gold Jubilee medal in 2002, a Long Service medal in 2004 and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012.
He was married in 1977, and is a father-of-two. His passion for Punjabi Bhangra music led him to start singing professionally, and he released his debut album titled ‘Khangoora’ in March 2008. This contained a mixture of duets and solos, then ‘Mr Singh’ was released in 2009 with just solo tracks. Rest is the history.
So far his 6 albums have been recorded and released Duets with Miss Pooja, Nirmal Sidhu & Suman Bhatti. He has already Performed in several Countries like UK, India, America, Canada. Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, places like: Punjab, Bombay, California, Toronto, Vancouver, New York, Paris etc. and all over the UK. He proudly shared that he even Performed Live with Bollywood and Classical singer Rafakhat Ali Khan.
