Vandana International Sr. Sec. School, Sector-10, Dwarka, New Delhi organized ‘Sanskrit Mahotsava’ in its Auditorium on 8th August, 2017. The Chief Guest of the function was Sh. Rajesh Kumar Chaturvedi, who is well known thinker of Indian Philosophy, an educationist of eminence and chairman of Central Board of Secondary Education.
Among other dignitaries who graced the function included Prof. Ramesh Kumar Pandey, Vice-chancellor Lal Bahadur Sanskrit Vidyapeeth, Justice(Mrs.) Ravindra Bedi, Prof. Devi Prasad Tripathi, Secretary Maharishi Sandeepni Ved Vidya Pratisthan, Ujjain, Advocate Sri R. N. Vats, Mr. Sanjeev Anand, a well known lyricist and Dr. R. K. Tandon
The function started with the lightining of the lamp by the Chief Guest and other Guests of Honour. Shri V. P. Tandon, Chairman, Kamal and Vandana group of Institutions, Mrs Vandana Tandon Principal, Kamal Model Sr. Sec. School, Mohan Garden, New Delhi along with other office bearers of the Managing Committee including Sh. Harsh Tandon and Akansha, extended floral welcome to the chief guest and other dignitaries.
Students of Vandana International Sr. Sec. School recited shlokas of Maha Vishnu Puran. Student of Kamal Model Sr. Sec. School made the environment completely religious by chanting Mahishasur Mardani with musical flavor.
The Chief Guest, in his address highlighted the tradition of Guru Shishya and laid emphasis on the fact that Sanskrit has been the main sources of Indian culture. There was therefore a great need for re-establishing, the language of Vedas (Sanskrit). Prof. Ramesh Kumar, in his lecture expressed the view that there was a lot of scope of research on many aspects of Sanskrit language and creating awareness among the people.
On this auspicious occasion Award of Sanskrit Ratna’ was bestowed upon the Chief guest Sh. Rajesh Kumar Chaturvedi jointly by Indraprastha Shiksha Avam Khel Sansthan and the Kamal and Vandana Group of Institutions.
